Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

NuluTales is operated by Elevelop Studio LLC, a company registered in Georgia with its registered office at Nutsubidze street, N 60, apartment N3, Tbilisi, Georgia ("NuluTales," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at nulutales.com, our mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use NuluTales on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or an adult otherwise authorized to make decisions for that child.

2. What NuluTales does

NuluTales helps parents and guardians create personalized bedtime stories for children, generated with the help of artificial intelligence. Depending on your plan, this can include:

  • Personalized bedtime stories
  • Child profiles
  • Illustrated story covers
  • Bedtime narration
  • Bedtime sounds
  • Story variations
  • Multi-episode series
  • Story and audio downloads
  • Subscription-based usage limits

NuluTales is intended for family entertainment and bedtime routines. It is not medical, psychological, educational, therapeutic, or professional advice, and it should not be relied on as such.

3. Eligibility and parental responsibility

NuluTales is intended to be used by adults - parents or legal guardians. Children should not create or manage their own accounts. As the account holder, you're responsible for:

  • Creating and managing the account
  • Deciding what information about a child to provide, and keeping it accurate
  • Reviewing generated stories, covers, and narration where you think it's appropriate for your family
  • Supervising how children in your household use NuluTales
  • Deciding whether NuluTales is suitable for your child and household

4. Accounts

To use most features, you need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date
  • Keep your login credentials confidential
  • Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access
  • Take responsibility for activity under your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

5. How NuluTales uses AI, and your consent

NuluTales generates story text, cover art, and narration using third-party AI providers - currently OpenAI (story text), Runware and Nebius (cover images), and DeepInfra (narration audio). To do this, the details you enter about your child or the story (such as a name, age, interests, appearance, personality traits, or free-text notes) are sent to these providers solely to generate the requested output. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail on what's sent and why.

Because this involves a child's personal information, we ask for your explicit agreement - as the parent or legal guardian - before this happens, through a mandatory checkbox at account creation. By checking that box, you confirm you're the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information you add, and you consent, on that child's behalf, to us sharing the information you choose to provide with these AI providers for the purpose of generating stories, covers, and narration. If you don't agree, don't check the box - you won't be able to create an account or use NuluTales.

6. Your inputs and generated outputs

6.1 Your inputs

You're responsible for what you submit to NuluTales and for making sure you have the right to use it (including names, likenesses, or other material relating to real people). Don't submit content that violates the law or someone else's rights.

You grant Elevelop Studio LLC a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to process your inputs to operate the Service - including generating stories, covers, and narration; storing your saved content; and providing support.

6.2 Generated outputs are automated

NuluTales generates content automatically using AI. Outputs may sometimes be imperfect, unexpected, repetitive, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your child, and outputs may not be unique - similar content could be generated for other users. You're responsible for reviewing outputs before sharing them with a child, and for deciding whether they're appropriate for your family.

7. Prohibited content and acceptable use

NuluTales is built to produce child-appropriate content only. You agree not to use the Service to request, create, upload, or attempt to generate:

  • Sexual content, pornography, or adult sexual themes (especially anything involving minors)
  • Explicit violence, hate, harassment, bullying, or content encouraging self-harm
  • Illegal activity, or instructions to carry out illegal activity
  • Attempts to bypass our safety systems (including prompt-injection or "jailbreak" attempts)
  • Unnecessary sensitive personal information about a child (such as a home address, school name, or phone number)

You also agree not to:

  • Use NuluTales for any unlawful or harmful purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or misuse content from the Service
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service
  • Share account access in a way that circumvents subscription limits
  • Misrepresent your identity or your relationship to a child

We may refuse to generate content, remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts if we believe you've violated these Terms or created risk for a child, other users, or NuluTales.

8. Subscriptions, billing, and where you can buy

NuluTales offers optional paid subscriptions. Current planned tiers:

Story allowances reset every month and do not roll over - even on an annual plan, your monthly allowance is topped back up each month rather than granted all at once. Prices, features, limits, and availability may change; the plan details shown in the app or at checkout at the time of purchase control.

Where you can buy: on iOS, subscriptions are purchased as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store. On the web, and on Android, subscriptions are purchased through our website, nulutales.com, outside the app - the NuluTales Android app itself is a "reader" app: it lets you sign in and use content and features you've already paid for, but it does not sell subscriptions or display pricing or purchase links, consistent with Google Play's policies. If you're on Android or otherwise subscribed on the web, we may email you information about your subscription options; we don't require an in-app purchase to keep using content you've already paid for elsewhere.

9. Who you're buying from, and auto-renewal

For iOS purchases: your purchase is made through Apple, and Apple (not Elevelop Studio LLC) is the merchant for that transaction. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Apple ID account settings.

For web and Android purchases: our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd (together with its applicable affiliates, "Paddle") is the Merchant of Record for these orders, and Paddle handles billing, receipts, order-related customer service, and returns for these purchases under Paddle's own Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal). Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date; manage or cancel them through the link in your Paddle receipt or confirmation email, through Paddle's customer portal, or from the "Manage subscription" option in NuluTales settings.

Regardless of where you bought your subscription, you must cancel through that same channel - we can't cancel an Apple or Paddle subscription directly on your behalf, though we're glad to help point you in the right direction if you contact [email protected]. The one exception is when you delete your NuluTales account: if you have an active Paddle subscription at that time, we cancel its automatic renewal for you as part of processing the deletion request (see Section 17). We're still unable to cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf, even when you delete your account.

10. Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Specifically:

  • Purchases made through Apple: refunds are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own policies (see reportaproblem.apple.com). We don't have the ability to issue or override an Apple refund decision.
  • Purchases made through Paddle (web and Android): refunds are handled under Paddle's Buyer Terms and refund policy (see paddle.com/legal). Contact Paddle directly using the link in your order receipt, or reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll help point you to the right place.
  • If you're a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within 14 days, unless you expressly asked for delivery to begin during that period and acknowledged that doing so means you lose that right - our (or Paddle's) checkout will ask you to confirm both of those things before you complete a purchase.
  • Nothing in this section limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

11. Free trials and promotions

NuluTales may offer free trials, free stories, promotional credits, or referral rewards. We use a device identifier and other signals to help prevent the same device or person from claiming a free trial more than once. Promotions may be limited by time, region, platform, account, or usage rules, and we may modify or end them at any time unless prohibited by law.

12. Safety and bedtime disclaimer

NuluTales is intended to support bedtime routines through storytelling, narration, and calming content. NuluTales does not guarantee that a child will fall asleep, sleep faster, sleep longer, or that using it will improve any health condition. If you have concerns about your child's sleep, health, development, or behavior, please consult a qualified professional.

13. Ownership and permitted use

NuluTales, and its software, branding, characters, designs, systems, and original materials, belong to Elevelop Studio LLC or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use NuluTales for your family's personal use.

Generated stories and downloadable outputs may be used for personal, non-commercial family use; you may not resell, redistribute, publish, or commercially exploit generated content without our written permission. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, sell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service itself, except where the law gives you the right to do so despite this restriction.

14. Availability and changes to the Service

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of NuluTales at any time, including for maintenance, security, or business reasons. We aim to provide a reliable service but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every feature will be available on every device, platform, or region.

15. Third-party services

NuluTales relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, AI generation, analytics, payments, subscriptions, email, and app distribution (see our Privacy Policy for the current list). Your use of third-party platforms - the Apple App Store, Google Play, or Paddle, for example - is also governed by their own terms.

16. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including how we use AI providers as described in Section 5. By using NuluTales, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

17. Termination

You may stop using NuluTales at any time. You can request deletion of your account from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by contacting [email protected]. The in-app flow asks you to confirm twice, signs you out immediately once you confirm, and we complete the deletion - permanently removing your account, child profiles, stories, covers, and narrations - within a reasonably short period (typically a few days), after which we email you to confirm it's done. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create risk for us or others, or if required by law or by an app store's rules.

If you have an active paid subscription through Paddle (web or Android) when you delete your account, we cancel its automatic renewal for you as part of processing the deletion - you won't be charged again, but we don't refund any unused time (see Section 10). If you have an active subscription through the Apple App Store, deleting your NuluTales account does not cancel it - Apple requires you to cancel it yourself from your Apple ID subscription settings, or Apple may continue billing you after your account has been deleted.

18. Disclaimers

NuluTales is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elevelop Studio LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim related to NuluTales will be limited to the amount you paid to us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD, whichever is greater, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Elevelop Studio LLC from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of NuluTales, violation of these Terms, or content you submit.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll post the update, change the "Last updated" date, and, where appropriate, notify you through the app, website, or email. Your continued use of NuluTales after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
